When/Where: Sunday, July 3, gates open at 7;Β  Capital City Club

Why Go: This local fireworks display is one that rivals the bigger ones around the city yet in a much more intimate, and convenient, setting. Grab a seat and watch as the Club puts on a spectacular display of color.

When/Where: Monday, July 4, Noon; Lenox Square Mall

Why Go: This annual Independence Day Celebration is one of the best in the city! The kids area opens at noon, with shops open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Listen to Atlanta's premier cover band, Party on the Moon, at 7:30, and watch the sky light up with fireworks at approximately 9:40 p.m. Other musical guests include American Idol runner up Diana DeGarmo and country sensation Trace Adkins.

Why Go: Parade down West Wieuca in honor of July 4! Prizes will be awarded for the most patriotic child costume, adult costume, best decorated bike/stroller and best decorated golf cart.

When/Where: Thursday, June 30, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Haven Restaurant

Why Go: Kick off your Fourth of July weekend early with this special event at Haven, where you can preview samplings of their new Summer menu, as well as wine, beer and live entertainment.
