Couple Robbed at Gunpoint at Highland Knoll Apartments

One of the suspects was later arrested and charged in the Saturday night robbery.

An Atlanta couple was robbed at gunpoint by a group of men that included one of the victim's friends at the Highland Knoll apartment complex on Buford Highway on Saturday night, DeKalb County police said.

The couple arrived at 3991 Buford Highway to meet a friend of the 22-year-old boyfriend at about 10:30 p.m., the police report said. But the friend came out of his apartment and approached the couple with a handgun while they were in the car.

A white Honda Accord pulled in front of their vehicle as well and three additional suspects with handguns stepped out. Two suspects robbed the 23-year-old girlfriend on the driver's side while the other two robbed the boyfriend on the passenger's side, the report said.

The suspects stole more than $1,000 in cash, two cell phones, a tablet computer, a purse and clothing, all worth about $2,650.

All four suspects left the scene in the Accord, but one – not the friend – was later arrested and charged with armed robbery: Javoris Trashun Hurston, also known as "Scotta," 23, of Atlanta. The report included descriptions and aliases of the other suspects but did not say how or whether police were pursuing them.
