The National Association of Chinese Americans' annual new year banquet was held recently at Canton House restaurant in Chamblee.

DeKalb County Chief Executive Officer Burrell Ellis joined members of the Asian community, international dignitaries and several regional civic and business leaders Feb. 2 at the National Association of Chinese American’s (NACA) Annual Chinese Lunar New Year Banquet at Canton House Restaurant in Chamblee.

Ellis welcomed The Honorable Xu Erwen, Consul General of the Peoples Republic of China, to DeKalb County with a proclamation commending her tireless work in the facilitation of missions between DeKalb County and China.

During the event, Ellis cited the ONE DeKalb initiative as an example of successful programs in DeKalb County that  proactively seek new partners to position the county as a global leader in economic development, industry, commerce, and cultural relations.
