Chamblee Police Officers Assist In Child Delivery
Both mother and child are doing fine, thanks to some excellent work by Chamblee's finest.
Two Chamblee police officers assisted in resuscitating a newborn delivered at Northwoods Apartments last weekend.
"Officers Frye and Hardy responded to assist with a child birth at Northwoods Apartments on Chamblee-Dunwoody," said Officer Alex Cushenan of the Chamblee Police Department. "While the officers were responding, the father advised our 911 dispatchers the baby was not breathing."
"Officer Frye was able to resuscitate the baby and assist with breathing until EMS arrived," said Hardy.
Both mother and baby were transported to the hospital in good condition, Cushenan said.
