Brookhaven Resident Receives Oglethorpe University Award

Martha Laird Bowen will be presented with the Talmage Award during Oglethorpe University's Alumni Weekend.


Brookhaven resident Martha Laird Bowen, a 1961 graduate of Oglethorpe University, will be presented with the Talmage Award during Oglethorpe University's Alumni Weekend, April 19-21, 2013.

The Talmage Award recognizes alumni who contribute time, talent or financial resources to one or more programs of the university and/or is distinguished in the business or professional world.

Throughout the years since she graduated, Bowen has continued to dedicate her time and service to the university. She has served on the President's Advisory Council, the Alumni Board, Oglethorpe's Board of Trustees and hosted events in her home for students and faculty.
