Montgomery Elementary School Celebrates Fruits and Vegetable Month!

Did you know September was National Fruit and Vegetable Month?  Montgomery Elementary School celebrated National Fruit and Vegetable Month with a Fruit and Vegetable Tasting in the cafeteria this week during lunch. The tasting focused on the health benefits of foods containting lycopene, and students sampled fresh watermelon and organic grape tomatoes.  The tasting was part of an extensive Health and Wellness program  at the school which includes an on-site vegetable garden, walk-to-school program and more.
