What is all the buzz about mindfulness? Mindfulness is an ancient idea around learning how to live powerfully in the present moment, not in the past or the future. Scientific research points to numerous health benefits including but not limited to: enhanced immune system functioning, greater stress resilience, reduced anxiety and depression symptoms, better sleep, regulated blood pressure, and much more.
Angela Buttimer, MS, LPC, RYT of Buttimer & Associates is partnering with Dr. Tasneem Bhatia of Atlanta Integrative and Holistic Medicine to bring a mindfulness series to Brookhaven September 24th! Angela Buttimer is a holistic integrative psychotherapist and author of CALM: Choosing To Live Mindfully and will be facilitating a complimentary one-hour session from 6:30-pm-7:30pm on Tuesday the 24th at Dr. Bhatia's medical practice at 1401 Dresden Drive.
In this session, Angela will give an introduction and overview of the principles of Mindfulness and then guide participants through experiential meditation and gentle chair yoga exercises. Participants will leave this session with empowering concepts and tools that can be applied immediately for cultivating more peace and personal power in their lives. This session will kick off a monthly Mindfulness series addressing various topics and themes.
