Petra Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley Hosts Investors' Forum

ATLANTA--Jim Easterling and Neal Sumter of the Petra Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley in Atlanta hosted a private investor’s forum for clients at the Capital City Golf and Country Club in Brookhaven on last month. Distinguished finance and economic speakers included Bob Doll, chief equity strategist of Nuveen; Troy Gayeski, partner and sr. portfolio manager at SkyBridge Capital; and Jim Barksdale, president and chief investment officer at Equity Investment Corporation.

 

In addition to discussions on the market and the world economy, guests attended sessions on estate and legacy planning, aging gracefully, basic principles of investing, and improving productivity with your iPhone or iPad.

Mr. Doll and Mr. Gayeski provided their overviews of the U.S. market and global economy. Both were optimistic about growth next year, despite current challenges and agreed that the economy is better off today than before the 2008 downturn and that many corporations are no longer over-leveraged.
