Who Plans to Check Out Oak Grove's New Beer Growler Shop?

Beer Growler Nation is looking at a mid-August opening, according to the store's Twitter account.

Ready to purchase massive jugs of craft beer?

Oak Grove's new Beer Growler Nation is set to open in that little idyllic downtown nexus they've got going with and and and whatnot. (2749 Lavista Rd. to be exact.)

The beer shop recently received its Special Land Use Permit from DeKalb County, and they've got "two more hurdles" left with Planning Commission before they can open, hopefully in mid-August, according to the shop's Twitter page.

What is a beer growler shop you might ask? Well, according to the shop's page:

It's your one stop shop for craft beer, hard cider and tasty root beer available to-go in growlers. With over 30 taps we'll have something for all tastes.

Sounds aggressive. I'm assuming the root beer is not the type I'm partial to. (Barq's.)

Beer growler shops seem to be all the rage lately. Here's a recent story from Decatur-Avondale Estates Patch about one that's expanding throughout the Atlanta area:

So, what do you guys think about Beer Growler Nation? Ready for it to open in Oak Grove? Tell us in the comments section below.

I don't recall what was in this spot before, but it looks to be a pretty small location. But if it's growler only that may not be an issue. I will definitely be filling up there, but I hope they do the 32oz growlers too.

It was a realtor office before. And looks like they will have 16 and 32 oz.
