Visions For Vacancies: Slacks In Town Brookhaven

What should go here? Tell us in the comments.

Though new, has already seen at least one tenant go out of business: the sports bar known as .

So our question to you this week is, what kind of business would be ideal for this location in Brookhaven's latest signature development?

No more darn restaurants! Love 'em, but they're cannibalizing one another over there. I think a small gifting store like a swoozies or limetree would be great!

I agree about too many restaurants but if there was to be another, I vote for a taqueria.

No problem with another Restaurant as long as it is a good one......Slack's spent too much money on the interior to be just an over priced sandwich shop....I Philly Cheese sandwich is only worth so much ya know ?? They were small and not very good either. Times I was there the owners were more interested in Partying than they were about running the business.........Destined to fail.

Whatever! no restaurant is willing to move into a New City of BrokeHaven after the millions lost by other businesses in new cities like Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. It is called death by a million permits and a million DUI tickets. Since the cities need so much money they run people off

Just like Roswell road is covered with vacancies. The first night the new Sandy Spwrongs city police started control they arrested over 200 people! Now Atlantans joke take 400 because roswell toll is 500$(ticket) because they have adopted trapswereChamblee bistro was ready to open up after construction but the Chamblee City extra layer of government held up opening for months because of a paint color change. Too much government running our lives is a bad thing. Just vote July 31st against the city Charter Legal Contract

Oops.. Adopted speed traps where they pull you over for 3 miles over the speed limit. Also in Chamblee...

Despite the Professors lecture on doom and gloom I think the Slacks location would be a great place for a cafe or coffee shop, the patio is a plus.

Starbucks. What self-respecting shopping center opens without a Starbucks?
Steve Walker July 08, 2012 at 11:02 PM
Professor.......and you believe all the BS that spewed forth from Randle ? Maybe we should call you Gillegan instead ??

Well-said on Starbucks, although since closing of the Library, need a non-chain coffee stop to compete. Or bring in a Caribou to offset the Starbucks at Blackburn and Brookhaven one? Taqueria would be wonderful, but I don't think they fancy themselves using a bland storefront. They're a better fit for an old gas station, a la the corner joint by Lowe's on PIB.

Way to stay on topic, "professor". I believe you have mistaken this thread for discussing the topic of a City of Brookhaven. Or try again-- "What should go in the vacancies in Town Brookhaven"?

Taco Mac would be a nice addition, or perhaps a small wine/package store? The area definitely needs more retail!!
