Smooth Operators of the Terra

Did Terra Terroir Represent for Mother Earth During the Secret Shopping Test?

Terra Terroir or Terra Grille as it is referenced on the shopping complex sign near Peachtree Road is ‘terra’fic if you feel the need get out of town for few hours.  Whether  you’re staycationing or anxiously awaiting your next vacation, Brookhaven’s can transport you from the everyday of Atlanta to a soothing oasis where fine wine flows like fountains, desirable delicacies delight the buds, and the patio wraps its loving arms around you as you sway rhythmically to the beat of the music.

The old real estate mantra of location, location, location may lead to misconceptions if you only  judge the Grille from its exterior.  With about seven years under its belt, Terra Terroir is no ordinary strip mall restaurant!  To sum it up best, let’s play the” If-Then” game where you determine the punch line given coaching of course:

If this grille were a fruit, which one would offer a surprisingly sweet release that you may not have expected from just looking at it?

If it were a hairstyle, which one would represent all business in the front and a (low-key) party & relaxation in the back?

If it were a singer, which one would encapsulate some of the most beautiful sounds with a quiet and striking inner beauty? Here’s a hint: She sings “Smooth Operator” and it’s so fitting here.

Speaking of smooth operators, General Manager Mohammed Medin is indeed the man with the plan.  He’s created something of a vacation cave that transforms the mind, body and spirit.  With lunch and dinner menu items like Barbeque Grilled Salmon, Mahi Mahi Soft Tacos, Lamb and Mint Burger,  or Mediterranean Pasta with Sun-dried Tomatoes, could you ever go wrong?  Or how do Lemon Thyme Lamb Chops,  Filet Mignon with Red Wine Mushrooms or Key Lime-Chipotle Shrimp with Stone-Ground Grits sound for dinner? The staff is more than willing to help you pair any number of delicious items with the perfect wine from France, Argentina, Italy, California and a number of other areas. Winner of two national wine awards, Terra Terroir is truly ready to make your day.

The Wine Patio would love to be your friend and invites you to follow them for up-to-the-minute news on their newest items, wine dinners and otherwise. And be sure to check out their website as well to make a reservation or to acquire more information on upcoming events like the wine dinner on May 11.

While I understand and truly appreciate the European and Mediterranean quality of life business hours that Terra Terroir holds, it is still a bit of shock to Americans who are accustomed to shopping on our schedules. However, given Mohammed’s willingness to allow me to order if needed and take a few pictures at the very end of my visit, I give Terra Terroir my very first two full thumbs up!
