Pub 71 Is Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Brookhaven, Readers Say

Known for its collegial and upbeat atmosphere, is this year’s in Brookhaven.

In it’s sixth year, owner Robert Adamo told Patch he was excited about the Reader's Choice distinction.

“The caliber of restaurants in Brookhaven is better than they’ve ever been. It’s a special honor," Adamo said. "Not to take anything away from the other restaurants, but this year’s celebration is going to be better than ever.”

Adamo said this year he’s partnering with to run the satellite bars that will be stationed outdoors. Additionally, he said, Pub 71 received a special permit to expand the party outdoors and for the first time, the live bands will play outside.

"One thing I think is important to mention, Adamo said, is that we never charge a cover. With the way things are with the economy, it’s important for us not to have a cover charge."
