New Brookhaven Rotary President Takes Office

Tom Hughes officially became president of the organization on July 1.

Tom Hughes, senior vice president at Hope-Beckham Inc., took office as president of on July 1.

Hughes is active in the community, coaches youth basketball, serves on the board of directors for the Atlanta Sports Council and on the Leadership Council for Zoo Atlanta. He is a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Men’s Club and a 2011 Community Partner Award recipient for his work with local nonprofit L.E.A.D. (Launch, Expose, Advise and Direct.).

In addition to Hughes, the Rotary Club of Brookhaven leadership team includes
President-elect Jonathan Byrd, Secretary Carol Lynn Upshaw and Treasurer Chuck Kenney.

The Brookhaven chapter meets each week on Wednesdays at Capital City
Club in Brookhaven.
