New Brookhaven Chamber Looking for Social Media Manager

The fledgling organization is just getting up and running.

If you know your way around the world of Twitter and Facebook, you may want to contact the newly formed Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce. The organization is looking for a social media manager.

The organization has already put in place a seven-member board of directors, as well as a three-person staff, including an executive director, Arthur Freeman. The social media manager may or may not be a fulltime position.

Todd Lantier, a member of the now-defunct Brookhaven Commission, is serving as chairman of the board of directors. Other directors include Brian R. Block; Joe DeVita; Lynda Martin; Debbie Mayer; and Anand Thaker.

Besides Freeman, the other current staffers include Terrell Carstens, deputy director, and executive admin MaryEllen Layden.

According to the Reporter Newspapers, the chamber evolved from the Brookhaven Community Connection, a monthly networking group for Brookhaven businesspeople. When it came time for the nonprofit to refile its articles of incorporation, the group officially changed its name to the Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce.
