Brookhaven will be the site of one of eight job fairs hosted by Goodwill of North Georgia on Wednesday, Feb. 6, giving job seekers across the region the chance to connect with dozens of employers.

Employers are recruiting workers for jobs that include:

  • Vonage: sales specialists
  • Labor Staffing: hospitality, warehouse, housekeepers
  • Airserve: cabin cleaners
  • Department of Labor/North Metro
  • Devry University
  • Safelink: field representative

“We know many people start the year looking for new job opportunities. This one-day event will allow us to help them connect with employers, while highlighting the myriad of resources each location offers every day,” Armstrong said.

Job seekers can use the location finder on Goodwill’s website to find their nearest career center.

The nonprofit, known for its donation centers and stores, uses the money from its donated goods program to fund its career centers and employment services. Goodwill representatives say the facilities have become a resource for more than 30,000 job seekers and thousands of area businesses looking to hire staff.

Goodwill career centers are free and open to the public. They are equipped with computers, résumé-writing tools, local job postings, photocopiers, telephones and other resources. Goodwill also provides recruitment fair space, interview rooms and other services for local employers.
