Brookhaven, Chamblee Going 'Boo' This Weekend

Here's a look at three major spook-tacular events happening in our communities on Saturday.


Brookhaven and Chamblee have three major Halloween celebrations occurring on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Town Brookhaven is hosting Halloween on the Town from 3-6 pm, designed to be a family friendly event allowing children to trick or treat at participating shops and restaurants.

There will also be face painting, balloon artists and fun fall and Halloween craft activities for kids.  Several shops and restaurants will offer specials during the event, including:

  • Collage Boutique – 10% off any purchase, 15% off the purchase of $150 or more (excludes sale items)
  • Costco – Special membership offers (green space)

  • Olive Bistro – Serving Witches Brew and other treats
  • Salon Red Kids – R2D2 from Star Wars will make an appearance at the salon
  • Which Wich – $.99 Kids Meal with the purchase of each Adult Meal (wich, chips, drink), Samples of Hand-Dipped Pumpkin Milkshake  (specials offered all day)
  • Town Dentistry, Brookhaven Orthodontics and Brookhaven Animal Hospital will also have tables in the development's green space.

Also in Brookhaven is the Halloween Party in the Park, at Ashford Memorial Park, beginning at 3 pm.

District 2 city council candidate Russell Mitchell and Brookhaven mayoral candidate J. Max Davis are hosting the event.

In Chamblee's Keswick Park is the Halloween Spooktacular.

The race begins at 2 p.m., but the event continues until 6 p.m. with a costume contest, hay ride, spooky Funhouse, pumpkin painting, face painting, a moonwalk, obstacle course, games, and concessions.

Register for the costume contest here.  Contestants will be judged on costume creativity and presentation.

The run will benefit the Frank Clark Memorial Fund at the Elaine Clark Center.
