Blue Ribbon Panel Named For Chamblee Plaza Redevelopment

A group of local residents will help evaluate new stores, restaurants and shops for Chamblee Plaza.

A panel of local residents has been named by Chamblee Plaza's new owners to help in the shopping center's redevelopment plans.

According to Trinity Development Group, the panel grew out of a town hall meeting the company conducted back in September 2012 regarding the vast, 20-acre complex.

β€œThe town hall meeting exceeded my expectations, not only for attendance and input from attendees, but also for the energy and enthusiasm in the room that signaled a strong desire for us to work together towards a common objective for Chamblee Plaza,” said Vince Riggio, Trinity founding partner.

The company said the town hall meeting was attended by more than 100 residents.

Riggio said the sheer number of advocates for Chamblee Plaza necessitated the need to form a smaller working group to represent the interests of adjacent neighborhoods, including Huntley Hills and Sexton Woods.

The Chamblee Plaza Blue Ribbon Panel consists of:

Riggio said community interactions with the Blue Ribbon Panel will be done through social media on a newly created Chamblee Plaza Facebook Page. He added Trinity has already had three meetings with the panel.
