Beginner and Intermediate Tango Classes at OUMA

8-week course for beginning Tango (Level 1).  If you miss a class, you can always make it up during the next course.  Courses start on March 5, April 30 and July 2.

A dance partner is not required but encouraged - dance partners are rotated in class unless requested otherwise. Shoes should be non-sticky, well-fitting and a  small heel for ladies.  Dress - casual and comfortable.

The course includes 8 classes and 1 Milonga OUMA (13 to 23 hours of dance).  The cost:  $90 pp regular or $70 for students with ID.

Stick around because you may want to join the Intermediate Tango Classes (Level 2) from 8:15-9:30pm - an entire evening of Tango. Intermediate Tango classes continue to build your Argentine Tango experience by focusing on technique as it’s applied to new dance elements you'll learn as well as to the ones you already know from the Beginner Course. You’ll be learning not only Tango, but also Tango Vals (Waltz) and Milonga (as a dance).

Intermediate classes are held on Monday evenings from 8:15 - 9:30 and includes 15 min. practice.  Level 2 Course is $100 per person (incl. admission to Level 1 classes).  Drop-in rate is $15 per person (Level 2 class or the whole evening).  A partner is required for gender balance.  “Structured” means the curriculum is set for the duration of the course.  However, the curriculum will change from course to course to incorporate new steps/elements and different dances – Vals and Milonga.
