Weekly Adoptables: Meet Samantha

Samantha is vaccinated, spayed, and heartworm negative.

Samantha is an adult Labrador Retriever mix. She has been attending Charm School and is learning very quickly. She knows how to Sit and how to Touch with her nose on command. She also knows her name.

She is still learning to walk like a lady when on leash. Samantha, like most  Labradors, likes to play and run and has plenty of energy. You can imagine how being kept in a cage all day, except for 20 – 30 minutes, affects her. She is exuberant when she first gets out.

Samantha is medium size so she can fit in any home; she weighs approximately 45 lbs. She has been at the shelter too long; even one day is too long for a loving pet looking for a home. Samantha would like a person of her own with whom she could run and play.

She is sponsored by the Decatur High School Homeless Pets Club and comes with a $250 training package to Frogs to Dogs. When you come to the shelter to visit you’ll see the flowers the Decatur HS Homeless Pets Club planted with Samantha’s help. She wants to come home with you so she can help you plant flowers too!!

By the way, Yoshi, last week's submission has been rescued!
