Patch Get Out: Taste of Chamblee, Atlanta Arts Festival, Dragon Volleyball, Butterfly Bolt.

The 4th Annual Taste of Chamblee

Info: The Taste of Chamblee is an annual street festival held in the heart of Chamblee. Anchored by the main stage, the festival offers live entertainment, some of the Southeast’s most talented visual artists, and the opportunity to taste the food of 20-30 regional restaurants. Admission is free but patrons can purchase food tickets for $1 each.  Tickets will be used for event food purchases at participating restaurants who will serve sample sized portions of their specialties. 

Co-sponsored by the Chamblee Business Association, the City of Chamblee, and the Chamblee Alliance for Art & Culture, this year’s festival promises to be an event not to be missed.

Info: Mark your calendar for the Atlanta Arts Festival, September 17 & 18 in beautiful Piedmont Park. The festival features 200 of the finest painters, sculptors, leather and metal craftsman and glass blowers in the country!  With so much to see and do, plan to spend the day in the park.  Stroll the artist market for that perfect find, visit the Creation Station for live artist demos and enjoy great festival food and live entertainment. Don’t miss the RE-ART Station, where kids can create their own green work of art using repurposed materials. The artist market is free and open to the public.  

 

Caterpillar Crawl 5K & Butterfly Bolt 10K

Info: Join the Atlanta Chapter of Room to Read for a 5K Fun Run & 10K to build a Room to Read library in Zambia. Registration and check-in begins at 7:00am and closes promptly at 7:40am. The race begins at 8:00am in the Mellow Mushroom Parking Lot. Runners and walkers can also register on the day of the race.  

 

Angry Dragon Volleyball

Info: Atlanta Angry Dragon Volleyball hosts this in town Grass Volleyball Tournament. Check-in begins at 8:00am and the pools will be locked down with the players that have shown up by the players meeting, which will begin at 8:30am.  The tournament director will walk everyone through logistics and rules, announce the pools, and get play started.  First serves should be in the air by 9:00am.
