Local yogurt shop offers a healthy alternative for dessert

Offerings are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth - guilt free.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Brookhaven Patch will pick a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

.

Okay, so it's not a restaurant, but this place is still worth the ink. Locked in with the other dozen or so businesses along the new Dresden Drive corridor, Yoforia is sure to convert any ice cream lover to yogurt.

Although Yoforia has only about a half dozen or so flavors, the toppings - ranging from peanut butter cups and fruit to gummy bears and granola - will make up in flovor what it lacks in variety. Yogurt flavors like green tea, pomegranate, and mango are made with organic milk and organic yogurt. And at only 25 calories per ounce you won't feel guilty when you indulge.

Yoforia is a bright space with clean lines and a funky white decor that goes well with the new look of Dresden Drive. It's a great place to "people watch" as you snack on your yogurt on the stools by the window bar area. Or you can hang with friends at one of the tables inside.

This Yoforia is one of about two dozen stores in Georgia, North Carolia and South Carolina, but you get the service and intimacy of a local shop, without the franchise feel.

This great hang-out opens everyday at Noon and stays open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
