With so many great businesses in our area there is never a lack of things going on for the whole family to enjoy, so check out our picks for the next week and plan your calendar accordingly!

When/Where: Saturday, May 28, 10 a.m., Lowe's

Why Go: Now your kids can live out their very own Bob the Builder story with Lowe's Build and Grow Clinics! Open to kids in grades 1 through 5, they can construct a wooden biplane, and will receive an apron, goggles, patch and certificate of merit upon completion!

When/Where: Wednesday, June 1, 5 p.m., Chamblee Library

Why Go: Bring the idea of a picnic and movie indoors with this event at Chamblee Library! Your kids will love watching Toy Story 3, and all you have to do is bring a blanket and picnic for the family to enjoy.

When/Where: Tuesday, May 31, 7 p.m., Brookhaven Library

Why Go: Dress your little ones in their pajamas, grab their favorite stuffed animals and bring them to this storytime that will help them wind down their day. There will be stories, songs, and of course milk and cookies! For ages 3 to 5.

When/Where: From Wednesday, June 1, 10 a.m., Chamblee Library

Why Go: This summer art contest (the theme is Book A Trip!) is the perfect way for your budding Monet to keep their creativity flowing this summer! Open to kids 5 to 12 years of age, they should use their imagination to create a masterpiece related to a place they have visited on vacation. Bring in these pieces, using materials found at home, starting June 1. All entries must be submitted by July 23.

Why Go: If you enjoy the heat of the summer here is a great opportunity to watch a movie you may have missed out on, or revisit one you may have loved, under the lights of Atlanta. Load up the bug spray, pack your chairs, pick up some food and be a part of Atlantic Station's Movies in the Park. This week the movie is Inception.
