Five things to know today - May 10

Your daily dose of what's happening in your neighborhood.

1. The National Weather Service predicts a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Patchy fog before 10 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 91.

2. Spend some of your spring afternoons exploring modern art from India at museum! Each class will begin with an in-depth look at a piece of artwork in our current exhibition. Students/artists will then have the opportunity to experiment with traditional Indian techniques and materials during an on-site studio session. OUMA's Tuesday afternoon studios have been designed especially for adults. Time: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

3. Return to Brookhaven Patch for this week's Whiz Kid brought to you by our Mom's Time Columnist Andrea Botham. You're sure to be inspired by this extraordinary youngster.

4. Do you like to play fun bridge?  Interested in meeting other bridge players?  Experienced or beginner?  Contact OLA if you are interested in playing.  Although the season is winding down, subs may still be needed.
