The monuments are being constructed at the corner of Brookhaven Drive and Peachtree Road and are being finacially supported by HBNA, residents from adjacent One Brookhaven and Brookhaven Place Condominiums, and other nearby residents of Brookhaven Drive.

The new monuments were designed by local architect Mark Moscrip to replace monuments nearly two decades old of inferior construction.

The new monument design feature precast limestone style bases, a plaque identifying Historic Brookhaven's establishment in 1910, and a precast cap, with a native stone facing.

A unique feature of these new monuments is the incorporation of conduit and enclosures to house a future CCTV security system.  The Brookhaven Security Association is evaluating a proposal to install such a system in all new Historic Brookhaven entrance monuments.  The purpose of the system would be to provide a digital video record of all traffic entering and leaving the community.

In addition, law enforcement may observe the neighborhood entrances in real time if needed for a current or active crime event.

The monuments are being constructed by Brick Concepts, a local masonry contractor. The Historic Brookhaven Neighborhood Association is managing this construction project, and plans to seek financial support for new monuments at neighborhood entrances along Peachtree Dunwoody Road, at Mabry Road and at East Brookhaven Drive.
