Celebrate Convenience by Taking MARTA to Great July 4th Events
Riders can get to all of downtown's post popular Independence Day events by taking the train or bus
Whether Brookhaven residents will celebrate July 4 with fireworks, baseball or a morning run with 60,000 of your closest friends, MARTA makes it safe, quick and convenient to travel to great events around town. The first round of service at the will have service available from 4:45 a.m. to 1 a.m. to accommodate the Peachtree Road Race, Braves game, fireworks displays and other celebration events.
For only $2.00 each way (plus a 50 cent charge to purchase a temporary Breeze ticket or a $1 charge for a permanent Breeze card), it’s easy and affordable to take MARTA to enjoy July 4th festivities. Due to the large crowds that are expected, customers should purchase a round-trip fare at the beginning of their trip to avoid long lines on the return.
Extra staff and police will be on hand to assist customers. Peachtree Road Race participants are encouraged to take the Gold Line train to Lenox for the start of the race. MARTA will be operating extra trains to Lenox to get runners quickly to the starting line. Shuttle buses will also be available at Lindbergh Center Station before the race to transport runners close to the starting line (Buckhead Loop) and at Midtown station after the race to bring participants back to Lindbergh Center Station.
