When Kennedy Shannon began taking spelling tests she had no idea that she would never miss a single word, making her a 'queen' bee speller! This is not a surprise, given this seven year old also makes straight A's in her first grade class!

"Kennedy is very serious about her homework assignments, whether it be schoolwork or piano assignments," said her mom, Jessica Shannon.  "She has a very clear idea of the right way to do things and refuses to stop until it's just right."

School isn't the only outlet for her perfection, as she has also been playing the piano since she was five, with local piano teacher Pam Russo,  who Shannon thinks is 'the best'. She is also part of Russo's annual piano recital at Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church.

And many 7-year-olds, she loves to read, draw, play with her little brother, jump on the trampoline, and, just in time for summer, be a part of the Garden Hills swim team.

Her parents agree that she is pretty special.

"She is a joy to have as a daughter and keeps us on our toes everyday!"
