Brookhaven Bolt Gearing Up for Fourth Year

Organizers of the 5K race hope it is bigger and better.

With an estimated 1,000 runners expected to dart through the Ashford Park community, the Brookhaven Bolt is anticipated to be the largest one to date, organizers said.

Event Co-chairman Daren Miller said the Bolt, scheduled for May 14, has raised more than $60,000 for over the last three years and local businesses are continuing to sign up for sponsorship.

β€œWe have a bustling little community here and Brookhaven. We're doing really well,” Miller said.
