Students, parents and staff of Sophia Academy recently gathered behind the school for the annual Blessing of the Pets.
The students were invited to bring their pets, pictures of their pets, or
stuffed animals to receive a blessing from Father David Musso of Marist, who shared God’s call for humans to care for his creation,
One by one, the students came forward with their dogs, cats, guinea pigs
and even a dolphin (a stuffed animal, of course) to receive a blessing with
holy water, Sophia Academy reports.
