A green light for Verde

At , going green in a whole new way has never been more fun.  From the warm and inviting staff to the upbeat rhythms that tickle the ears, the ambiance beckons the seekers of sustenance to advance.

The staff is all smiles - real smiles, not those smiles that disappear the minute that the server faces a different direction. Kudos to the bartender, Jaylene for her perseverance despite the likely low tip, low activity night. She was upbeat, positive, engaging and generous despite serving a pitiful bar order for a Shirley Temple. C'est moi! She shared that she was long overdue for a vacation, so help this Georgia girl find her way to a sandy beach with a nice tip or two. 

The rest of the staff demonstrated similar behaviors. They were very attuned to their clientele having mastered check-in consistency to a science. So never fear, you won't encounter the "I need an extra big tip so I'm going to hound you 'til you scream" server, nor will you feel the desperation to grab the first Verde shirt that you see due to extreme neglect. You will be like the baby bear in this politically correct little fairytale and everything will be just right!

The layout of the restaurant is a reflection of someone who knows the power of a good wink. That's right - there's a hook-em-up bar front and center, just perfect for catching the eye of that certain someone. *Wink*

However, the larger part of Verde is all about families. Separate and distinct from the bar, the tables and booths are spacious and well positioned allowing each group to share with one another without necessarily sharing with the neighbors. The footprint also includes a patio for use on good weather days. Wherever you are, you may be entertained by either music or television that is maintained at a sensible volume. Don't you hate it when you have to shout over the noise in a place that's supposed to be known for socializing? Well fail no more, mates! Verde has that little hiccup cured. Vocal cords as well as eardrums far and wide are thankful for the level-headedness exhibited herein. 

Moving on - the other sustenance that is sought when visiting Verde is food for which it has come to be known. For starters, you'll never find a soul with a chip on the shoulder, that is unless your server graces you with chips served with salsa, guacamole or queso.  Little appetites take heed because so much more awaits! With a dozen options for tacos and salads, the pickiest of eaters may find themselves flustered. What on earth will they challenge?  

Verde goes the distance to please every palate offering tacos that are grilled, fried, and even buffalo style! And what's most inviting is that the food is made fresh - no middle men here! 

The kids will feed off of the adults' positive energy, and everyone may reach a sugar high with a daily selection of sweet treats to balance the spice. No worries, dance it off before leaving the premises so that those little ones can be put soundly to bed. Don't worry if no one else is dancing - it always takes one to get things started.

All in all, Verde gets the green light for creating a great balance of food, fun, people, and let us never forget the wonderful pastime of people watching!
