The Empty Stocking Fund’s “12 Days of Gifting” Campaign Ignites Holiday Spirit During the Summer

Although the holidays are still a few months away, The Empty Stocking Fund is well into the holiday shopping spirit. The “12 Days of Christmas” campaign, from July 14th to July 25th, will give local Atlanta residents ample opportunity to support the fund’s efforts a little early this year. 

As one of Atlanta’s most enduring and respected charities, The Empty Stocking Fund has provided millions of gifts to underprivileged local children over its 86-year history. Last year they supplied over 50,000 local children with holiday gifts, and anticipate needing to serve even more this year.

With a donation season traditionally centered around the holidays, this year the organization is branching out by offering the summertime fundraising initiative. “Money donated earlier in the year gives us more flexibility with ordering toys and gifts, so it goes even further,” explains The Empty Stocking Fund’s executive director, Manda Hunt. “And the Brookhaven/Buckhead area is a part of town that has traditionally been so supportive of our cause; it seemed like a natural progression to start our summertime fundraising here first.” 

The twelve days are packed with opportunities to participate throughout Atlanta with a focus on the Brookhaven/Buckhead area:

ONLINE AUCTION

SHOP, DINE & DONATE

• July 14th − 25th: “Shots for Tots.” $1 from every specialty shot sold at all Noche locations will go directly to The Empty Stocking Fund
• July 14th − 25th: Purchase paper gifts at participating Town Brookhaven retailers to make a direct donation to The Empty Stocking Fund
• July 14th − 25th: Shop online using the Socialvest app to earn an extra 1% give back to ESF on purchases made through participating retailers 
• Tuesday, July 16th: 10% of dinner sales at Shout for all who mention ESF
• Thursday, July 18th: 10% of dinner sales at Aja for all who mention ESF
• Saturday, July 20th & Sunday, July 21st: 10% of sales from Noche Brookhaven for all who mention ESF from 3 to 7pm

GRAND FINALE − Fado Irish Pub

Thursday, July 25: Featuring guest bartenders and live entertainment at Fado Irish Pub from 6 to 8pm. All tips made will go directly to The Empty Stocking Fund.
