Spring Fling Fundraiser Brings Dunwoody Community Together; Raises Nearly $13,000

(Dunwoody, GA) April 25th, 2014 – Primrose School of Dunwoody demonstrated its commitment to making a difference in Dunwoody.  On Friday, April 25th the school held a Spring Fling fundraiser to help make giving back a top priority in the local community and raise money to support a worthwhile cause.  This year’s event along with fundraising efforts throughout the school year raised more than $12,900.  The focus of this event fundraising was in support of Reach Out and Read Georgia, a not-for-profit organization that fosters early childhood literacy by providing children between the ages of 6 months and 5-years-old with a book at well child visits.  In addition, a portion of the proceeds benefit the Primrose Children’s
Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that supports organizations that focus on the needs of children and families.

“We want to share our excitement for building Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts® with the community,” said Cami Nail, Primrose School of Dunwoody. “Not only were we able to raise funds for a great community cause, but our Spring Fling event also gave local families an opportunity to come together in a fun and exciting way.”

The event included carnival games, inflatable sports activities, crafts, cake walks and a silent auction with baskets and items donated by our Primrose families and local businesses.

Local families and businesses supported the event through multi-level sponsorships and donations.  Top of the Class level ($250) donations were from Logicspeak; Cami and Steve Nail; Creative Movement and Dance, Leah Matthews.  Honor Society level ($75) sponsors included The Great Outdoors Landscaping and J. Christopher's.  The Class Act ($50 Level or In Kind Services/Donations) sponsors were the following; Above and Beyond Tote Bags (Aurielle Brooks); Atlanta History Center; Cafe at Pharr (Dunwoody); Cafe Intermezzo;  Children’s Museum of Atlanta; Chili's (Dunwoody); Dirty Dog's Day Out; Dunwoody Bakery; Dunwoody
