Richard Remigailo, Jr., DMD, LLC, a family dental practice located in Dunwoody, recently recognized all individuals who have been patients with the practice for 50 years. Seventeen of the patients attended a celebration in their honor at the dental office in Dunwoody.
“Several months ago, Mike Walker, one of my patients, casually mentioned that he thought he had been coming to my dental practice for 50 years and jokingly asked if we were going to throw him a party,” said Dr. Remigailo. “We looked at our records and discovered that he was one of 40 patients marking a 50-year anniversary. My team of staff members suggested that we give a party for all of them.”

Dr. Remigailo and his staff team of four, including office manager Lois Bell, dental hygienist Debbe Wilson, and dental assistants Diane Dies and Connie Brown, organized an afternoon reception for the honorees complete with punch, snacks, a ceremonial cake, door prizes and drawings.

“I’ve been to birthday parties, retirement parties, anniversary parties, but never a party honoring someone for being loyal to her dentist for 50 years,” said patient Liz Carter. “It was wonderful!”
Dr. Richard Remigailo, Jr. bought the practice in 2002 from Dr. Donald Maxwell who founded the practice in 1960 in Chamblee. In two years, Dr. Maxwell moved to Peachtree Industrial Blvd. where the practice remained until 2008 when Dr. Remigailo relocated to the current spot.
A graduate of DeKalb County’s Lakeside High School, Dr. Remigailo earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Remigailo is a member of the Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Georgia Dental Association. Currently, Dr. Remigailo volunteers his dental services once a month at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in downtown Atlanta. He and his wife, Eleanor, live in Dunwoody in northeast Atlanta with their three children. He enjoys serving his church, running, biking, backpacking, and traveling.
