Camp Primrose, Dare to Imagine! (Open Enrollment)

Primrose School of Dunwoody Summer Camp 2014 is all about summer adventures big and small with the Summer Camp theme, Dare to Imagine! and weekly themes related to the great outdoors, science, game shows, music, inventions, travel, and more!

Week 1 (May 27-30) - You’re the Next Contestant!
Everyone loves to play games and this week of Summer Camp will focus on just that! Explorers share favorite games with each other, learn new games, and even create and host a few game shows of their own!

Week 2 (June 2-6) - On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!
Beautiful weather makes summer the perfect time for active fun! Explorers play sports, visit local ball parks and sports stadiums, meet team mascots, and more during this fun-filled and sporty week!

Week 3 (June 9-13) - What Lies Beneath
Students discover the depths of the deep blue as they dive in to underwater fun. Explorers visit local aquariums, create virtual aquariums, and more in this unit!

Week 4 (June 16-20) - Midnight at the Museum
Students explore Egyptian Hieroglyphics, dinosaur skeletons, mementos from major events in history, etc. as they take trips to local museums and more!

Week 5 (June 23-27) - Medieval Times
Kings, queens, knights, and castles, oh my! Explorers take virtual tours of castles, create their own coat of arms, design crown jewels, and explore what it would have been like to be king, queen, princess or perhaps a brave knight!

Week 6 (June 30- July 3, closed on July 4th) -  Treasure Island
“X” marks the spot! Explorers spend the week imagining what it would be like to explore a deserted island in search of jewels and hidden treasures!

Week 7 (July 7-11) - Beyond the Backyard
Campers explore the great outdoors this week with trips to local parks, nature-themed craft projects, virtual vacations to National Parks, and perhaps even learning to set up camp!

Week 8 (July 14-18) - Inventions & Robotics
Explorers let their imaginations soar this week as they learn about inventions throughout history and even discover a few great invention ideas of their own!

Week 9 (July 21-25) - The Science of Cooking
Delicious fun is in store as Explorers set off on adventures of the culinary kind this week learning about the science of cooking!

Week 10 (July 28 – August 1) - And the Year Is . . .
Travel back in time as we take a look at decades in history. We explore the sock hops and poodle skirts of the 1950s, leisure suits and disco balls of the 70s, moonwalk through the 1980s, and more!

Week 11 (August 4-8) - Quiet on the Set!
Watch favorite movies or take a trip to a nearby theatre or IMAX to see favorite films—old and new. Explorers even try their hand at film production with movies of their own!
