U.S. Rep. John Lewis of Atlanta will deliver the keynote address Friday at DeKalb County's Annual Martin Luther King Celebration Program, according to a release from the county's public information office. The event will be held at the Maloof Auditorium located at 1300 Commerce Drive in Decatur from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. One DeKalb - One Community - One Dream is the theme for the free celebration intended to honor the life of the Rev. The final days of Dalí are here. Brookhaven residents who still have yet to view the Dalí exhibit at The High Museum of Art still have time - but not much. The High will hold a 31-hour celebration to close the Salvador Dalí exhibit. The event will run Saturday, Jan. 8, at 10 a.m. through Sunday, Jan. 9, at 5 p.m. From midnight to 9 a.m., admission will be $5. There will be free parking from midnight to 6 a.m. The museum also will serve free Red Bull and coffee for museum goers. Starting today, students will take part in the DeKalb County School System Bullying Awareness program, a month-long campaign to highlight the district's updated anti-bullying policy, a spokesperson confirmed Monday. The program is intended to help educate students, teachers and parents about the policy - which also prohibits cyber-bullying and hazing - while raising awareness arround ways to prevent it.
