The UGA suggest 53 police officers, Jimmy Air, with his extensive background in landscaping, thinks 75 is the right number, and Zanny Murray says go all the way to 100 officers. Until the debate the other night I just couldn't see how anyone could rationalize these higher numbers. I never realized what a dangerous place Ashford Park had become, how hordes of illegal aliens from Buford Highway rampage the community to rape and pillage the residents of Ashford Park. The dangers of living in Ashford Park can be the only rationale for adding so many police. The council should adopt an ordinance arming all residents of that community to defend themselves. Real estate agents should should only risk the dangers with an armed guard. Ashford Park is overrun with gangs and thief's from the vast stretches of no mans land along the Buford corridor. Beware.

Ms. A Resident, I think the plan is to make sure Hampton Hall, Brittany, and Lynwood Park are safe and secure. Everyone knows that DCPD is incapable of making these residents feel safe.

That works for me. I will never again cross Peahtree after dark without worrying about the hordes of illegals from Buford Highway.. Will there be extra security at the mayoral debate? Should I fear for my safety at Ashford Park Elementary? Will DCPD add extra patrols?

res,
Is this supposed to be any more convincing (or downright disrespectful) than the last time you posted it.
Do you select a candidate based on how many times they can squeeze 'dunwoody' or 'budget' into a paragraph?

J Max Davis has gone on record stating that WE as residents will get to decide on the number of police offers the Brookhaven PD will have. So why slam people for talking about it? Isn't that WE are supposed to do? After all...HE hath spoken.

I did not realize that the Dekalb County Police Department had such a high concentration of crime calls on Buford Highway. They must be secretly glad to see that this den of rapists and murderers is now in Brookhaven.
Disclosure: To those living on Buford Highway, I am being sarcastic.

One point to consider:
Look at the crime maps that will come out from the Police Task force VERY carefully. Make sure that the areas that the Police use as districts match up correctly.
Some neighbors in another new city were shocked to learn their crime rate was so high, as it was erroneously reported....

Ashford Park is clearly on the other side of the tracks. Jimmy Air clearly is fearful of life and property and is therefore requesting more police to provide for protection. Why else would you want more police? Just because Plaza Fiesta is not in Brookhaven doesn't mean the bullets don't fly into Ashford Park. Residents tell stories of bullet holes in the roof of their homes, celebratory gun fire, and gangs roving the neighborhoods. That's why Jimmy Air wants more police, Ashford Park is dangerous. Maybe an electrified fence around the community.

Were there any other take-aways from the District 2 discussion that might be helpful for folks in the other districts to hear about?

The same people who state that we need 80 or not police for Bookhaven, why did you not say one word ,When we "shared" 80 police with All of North Dekalbas stated by the head of the DKPD,The answer is easy .they want to make live in BROKEHAVEN.
