Back for its fifth year, the Brookhaven Bolt has launched a new redesigned website and more incentives for serious runners.

Organizers of the Brookhaven Bolt held annually in Ashford Park will be certified by the Atlanta Track Club and we are offering chip from ZULU Racing.

Todd Banister, co-chairman of the Bolt said last year's yielded $30,000 for Ashford Park Elementary School and more than 1,200 runners. 

The bolt will be held May 19, 2012. The event helps support the Ashford Park Elementary School by providing much-needed dollars for supplies and other resources.

The Bolt is a 5K course (3.1 miles) around the Ashford Park neighborhoods with start and finish in Village Place.
