Brookhaven Patch has learned that while construction on the new Chamblee Zaxby's location has been delayed, the company says the store will open sometime this summer.

We heard back from the company spokesperson Friday morning, confirming the company's commitment to open the location.

Those of us in the Brookhaven Patch Facebook community have been asking each other about that new Zaxby's being built in the Lowe's parking lot on Peachtree Road.

So, those of us who enjoy Zaxby's chicken, fries and zalads (no, that's not a misspelling) still can look forward, it seems, to having a convenient location to visit.
