Savi Urban Market Now Open For Business on Dresden Drive (PHOTOS)
Tour the new Savi Urban Market
Savi Urban Market and Cafe recently bought the landmark neighborhood food store where locals could grab a cold beer or their favorite salty and sweet treats, has transformed it into an establishment where healthy and locally grown foods, natural snacks and vegetables are sold.
Over the past month, the new owners gave the 20-year-old establishment a face-life, which will continue to transform as the weeks go by.
Owner Paul Nair explained on Thursday that the expansion is in the works to include an upstairs cafe.

I was so excited for this store to open and finally went in this week. Unfortunately I was disappointed...as I had much higher expectations. I hope it gets better and I do plan to give it one more try in a month or so once they get more established, but one would think they would be already since they do have another location. I hope it gets better.

Whomever thinks Mom & Pop's was a run down establishment should have their head examined!!! Omar & Ahmed were there 20 years...never did they close even in the snow!! Change is inevitable, but don't dish the people that have been a part of this community for so long. Savi is good, but it just seems to cater to the yup's in the hood and there is nothing wrong with that. P.S, Check your pumpkin seed purchase before you leave. Peace to all.
