Reedy Withdrawing From Brookhaven City Council Race

The candidate told Patch on Sunday afternoon that she is no longer seeking the District 4 seat.

The campaign for Brookhaven city council district 4 is a little less crowded, as Frances Reedy told Patch on Sunday that she is withdrawing from the race.

Remaining in the race are Joe Gebbia, Karen Lord and Kerry Witt. The term for the district seat ends in 2013.

When contacted by Patch by email for more information regarding her campaign, Reedy responded, "Thank you for your interest in my campaign. However, I am withdrawing as a candidate for Brookhaven  city council."

Brookhaven's city elections will be held on Nov. 6. With at least three or more candidates in all five city races, runoffs are likely.

The city becomes fully operational at 12:01 am on Dec. 17.
