Looks like some new homes may be on the way in the Fernwood Circle community.

Old Homes Demolished on Peachtree View in Brookhaven
Peachtree View runs between behind the Fernwood Circle community.

A reader alerted us to the fact that some older residential homes have been demolished on Peachtree View.

Patch took advantage of Sunday's nice weather to take a walk through the  Fernwood Circle community, and sure enough, it looks as if three to five homes have been torn down.

The lots are located behind the Brookhaven-Oglethorpe MARTA station.

Do you know anything about what type of homes are moving into the neighborhood? Any word on whether the lots have already been sold?

There will be a four story apartment building on this location. I think around 200 units. Being built by Wood Partners.

William, do you know if the developer will have to get approval through the newly formed Brookhaven planning and development governance? Thank you.

I believe they had filed for a variance on the property. I haven't followed it closely, but if you want answers you can find them here: http://abetterbrookhaven.org/ Also a great place to ask questions as they follow up quickly.
