Oglethorpe Prez: College Presidents Should Speak Out on Issues
Larry Schall recently made the remarks during the recent Oglethorpe Day 2013 ceremonies.
Larry Schall has been in the news a lot lately.
The president of Oglethorpe University is leading a coalition of college and university presidents in a fight for stricter gun control legislation. And during the recent Brookhaven cityhood debate, Schall was an outspoken opponent of municipalization.
Most recently, Schall told students, staff and supporters of Oglethorpe that college presidents need to take more of a leading role in "today's liberal society."
Schall made the remarks during the recent 2013 Oglethorpe Day event, in his speech entitled, "What is the Role of a University President in Liberal Society?"
