Gov. Nathan Deal's Brookhaven commission met for the first time on Thursday night in front of a standing-room-only crowd at St. Martins Episcopal Church and School.

Mr. Gocke (sorry hope the spelling is correct) after reading the Reporter or Neighbor article I realized you were the person who emceed the Cross Keys meeting that Brookhaven Yes arranged (I realized it because you told the great bit about why you wouldn't say how you voted because to you its a private and sacred matter that you don't even share with your wife). Anyway I was very impressed with how you handled the meeting, of your commitment to Cross Keys High School - which showed - and I'm glad the governor picked you, though now I wish you had run for a council seat.

Thank you and thanks to the rest of the Commission for serving. I noticed from that article that the fellow from Brookhaven said he voted No to cityhood so glad the appointments reflect different opinions before the city started but are not aligned in their commitment to making it work.
