Commissioner Gannon to Host Redistricting Meetings

The first information meeting is scheduled for Wednesday July 27

DeKalb County Commissioner Kathie Gannon will host two public meetings - July 27 and July 28 at 7 p.m. - on the demographic changes within the district reflected in the 2010 Census. The demographics are expected to drive reapportionment and changes in the political boundaries.

According to Gannon's office, Mike Alexander, head of research with the Atlanta Regional Commission, will explain the population changes and how those changes will affect the district's political landscape.

The first meeting will be held at Meadowview Elementary located at 1879 Wee Kirk Road in Atlanta.
