CinéBistro to Allow Children; Is it a Good Idea?
The in-theater dinning experience started as an establishment for patrons over 21, but not anymore.
When CinéBistro opened in Town Brookhaven last September, the restaurant/movie theater served only patrons over 21 years old.
Starting this Friday, May 4, however, the theater will welcome patrons under the age of 21 to enjoy movies before 6 p.m.
CinéBistro Executive Director Fred Meyers said because the theater received positive feedback from patrons under 21 for limited showings, the in-theater dining experience will be available to a younger audience.
“CinéBistro will maintain our 21 and older policy for shows after 6 p.m., continuing to offer our refined cinema experience to adult audiences only," Meyers said.

Makes you wonder how badly the looming increase in licensing and permit fees in a new city will effect our neighborhood businesses. They will be higher. VOTE NO NEW CITY JULY 31st and help save our local businesses..

Don't act like you are opposed to Brookhaven because you believe taxes or licensefees will go up ( they absolutely won't). You are opposed because you love Dekalb government. Where were you and no city folks when Dekalb raised our taxes 26% last summer? Not a peep and now you and your buddies are trying to deceive the taxpayers by acting like you are small government conservatives. Laughable!

We live in such a family-friendly neighborhood, it seems absolutely reasonable to allow under 21 in BEFORE 6 pm. I actually want Cinebistro to offer kid-friendly movies on saturday morning similiar to that of Studio Movie Grill. It's about $2 per person for a 1 to 1 1/2 hr movie.

Judging from the Yelp comments on Cinebistro theaters in the country, the "no kids" policy is one of the highlights and mentioned often. Brookhaven is throwing that out the window. Next up, child friendly films, sticky seats, and prohibition on alcohol sales prior to 6pm. I was willing to spend a few dollars more to enjoy a nicer movie experience, but if it's going to be as hit or miss as other theaters in the area, why bother?

Sat next to a child this weekend who was texting. I was very annoyed after my $20 tickets and $50 brunch in what i thought was to be an adult only experience.

Maybe when Brookhaven becomes a city it can enact "21 and up" ordinances at movie theaters to keep the citizens safer.
