Chamblee Plaza to Get Facelift

The nearly 20-acre property on Peachtree Boulevard will see new life, new property owners say.

Friday's inaugural Chamblee Plaza Food Truck Rally was only the first step of an extensive plan to breathe new life into the mostly vacant Chamblee Plaza on Peachtree Boulevard in Chamblee.

The Trinity Development Group, Inc., which purchased the Chamblee Plaza earlier this year, held a fireside chat with about 75 residents on Wednesday to discuss its plans to bring new life to the development.

"They (residents) gave us some really good insight to provide that sense of community," said David Henzlik, Trinity's managing partner of leasing.

The fireside chat, held at the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant, was the first in a series of town hall meetings the Trinity management team plans to host.

Henzlik said the developers plan to construct a park behind the IHOP once a $250,000 landscaping plan with the City of Chamblee is approved.

Henzlik said Trinity's vision is to eventually have the food truck rally at night with lights and music, outdoor movies and more. He's already in discussions with interested parties about how they can be involved in the Chamblee Plaza redevelopment, according to a Trinity release.

“Chamblee Plaza is located on one of the hottest developing corridors in North Atlanta,” stated Vince Riggio, founding partner of Trinity.

“I’m excited about redeveloping Chamblee Plaza into a retail center that will draw people not only from Chamblee, but also Brookhaven, the Windsor Parkway corridor, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, and Doraville, with high quality local, regional, and national retailers, mixed with family entertainment and dining. We’ll do extensive landscaping, and will work closely with the City of Chamblee to ensure our redevelopment plans are in keeping with their vision for
Chamblee as ‘A City on the Right Track!’”

“I’m confident we’ll assemble a portfolio of tenants that will meet and exceed the needs of the citizenry who will make Chamblee Plaza a planned destination,” Riggio stated.
