Chamblee Celebrated On Saturday

Celebrate Chamblee included a kids’ area with an art corner, face painting and moon walks.

 

The inaugural Celebrate Chamblee event was held on Saturday, with dozens of vendors offering food and entertainment.

The event was held along Peachtree Road, near Chamblee City Hall and Antique Row.

Organizers said they hope it becomes an annual event, according to CBS Atlanta. Chamblee City Manager and CEO Niles Ford told the Neighbor Newspapers the event was designed to showcase the city's diverse ethnic demographics through through cultural activities and offerings.

Planned events like this is exactly the difference between living in a city and just living in "north Dekalb county" A city can plan and shape it's image through cultural events, urban planning and zoning, etc.

When you are just "north Dekalb county" your neighborhood has no identity, no cohesion.
