Celebrate Chamblee On Saturday
The city's annual event is set to run from 11 am to 4 pm.
With almost 20 vendors signed up to participate, Celebrate Chamblee will be held on Saturday, May 19, from 11 am to 4 pm.
The event will be held in the area around Chamblee City Hall at 5468 Peachtree Road.
Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in salsa lessons and line dancing, and enjoy mariachi band performances, Asian drumming and traditional Chinese and Taiwanese dancing. Pop, R&B music will be performed by area groups.
“Celebrate Chamblee has something for all ages — music, arts and crafts, food, a kids’ play area and much more,” said City Manager and CEO Niles Ford in a press release. “Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and the whole family for a full day of fun and celebration.”
The event is free and open to the public with food — both local and international dishes — beverages and desserts available for purchase from participating vendors from Chamblee and surrounding areas.
There will also be a kids play area for Young festival goers that will feature moon walks, clowns, an art studio and face painting, among other activities.
