Brookhaven Zoning Board Considers Rezoning for Apartments
Other cityhood news: Brookhaven names finance director.
The Brookhaven Zoning Board of Appeals is set to consider an apartment rezoning request on Peachtree Road during its Wednesday, March 20 meeting.
The DeKalb County planning board rejected the application, which would allow for the construction of an apartment complex near Club Drive. The development would straddle the line between Brookhaven and Atlanta, according to Reporter Newspapers.
DeKalb’s administrative staff decided that the proposal was not compliant with the corridor’s overlay zoning.
The addresses of the subject properties are 3770 and 3804 Peachtree Road.
The Brookhaven Post reports that Brookhaven's planning staff is recommending the city deny the appeal.
Brookhaven has hired a finance director.
