Mayor-elect J. Max Davis and the city council will be sworn in at 7 pm in Lupton Auditorium at Oglethorpe University. The city council meeting will follow.

Patch will provide live coverage of both events beginning at 6:30 pm. Share your questions and comments in our real time blogging coverage.

I would hope that they initiate a no gift ethics policy also at their first meeting.

Well, here we are with Sandy Springs 2.0 ... anyone else notice we got virtually all of the same contractors doing work for Sandy Springs. The only exception I see is with public relations. Assistant City Manager and the City Attorney leading the way, looks like we should have simply annexed into our neighbor and saved a lot of work.

How does Georgia House Bill 636 and subsequent referendum grant even this governing prior to 12:01 AM December 17?

" looks like we should have simply annexed into our neighbor and saved a lot of work."
Perhaps save some money? But lost the chance for the local pol's to get their taste.

Dean...I believe you are referring to brain. And yes, he has demonstrated a very clear, rational thought process. It's funny to me how so many are threatened and insecure with this.

E Plurib - Eddie definately has his his head buried in his official organ, so if you think that this is where all of his clear thoughts are processed... then who are we to argue?

Great. Show me where they told us that. Oh and while you are at it, have them tell you about their new permits. Enough said. Wait til they get settled in their offices. Then they will get down to budget business. I'm right on this one.

Page 3 of the copy I was looking at. The report reads, "The revenue estimates outlined below include all major revenue sources a city including the study area would have collected had it existed in 2010 and assessed taxes and fees at rates similar to DeKalb County in that same year." It did not exist in 2010 so the buildup will take a couple of years. Feel free to review my other post for those details.
