Adult-Only Retailer Opens in Brookhaven
Stardust has opened in the old Dunkin Donuts location on Buford Highway.
Brookhaven has a new retail establishment, though you probably won't see many city leaders attending a ribbon-cutting anytime soon.
Stardust, an adult-only store, is now open in the old Dunkin Donuts location on Buford Highway.
City leaders were concerned that adult-only businesses might take advantage of a potential lack of oversight between the time the community was governed by DeKalb County and the time that Brookhaven laws officially began.

Looks like one took advantage of the opportunity to set up shop within walking distance of the Pink Pony, as well as the city's new municipal court offices.
The city issued this statement regarding Brookhaven's latest retailer: βPer the advice of the city attorney, we cannot comment on this issue."

However, City Councilman Joe Gebbia, whose District 4 includes the location, told Patch, "In February 2013 the Starship submitted an application for a business license as a 'smoke shop' on Buford Highway and they were granted that license on March 26. Hopefully, they will operate within the confines of the license they applied for."
